Los Nahuales Special Edition No. 3  is made with four different agaves: wild Tobalá (48%), with wild Tepeztate (13%), cultivated upland Espadin (26%), and a bit of the enormous and scarce agave Sierrudo (13%). This mezcal is extraordinarily balanced, complex, and rich. It was distilled by Karina Abad, who manages the Alipus and Mezcalero programs as well as running the distillery in Santiago Matatlan. She has worked closely with dozens of distillers all over the Oaxaca Valley, becoming familiar with differing distillation methods, differing yeasts, and all kinds of agaves from many different microclimates. Her knowledge of mezcal really shows here.
